The Mary Rose Experience Day

Bring your unit and join Girlguiding South West England on an adventure at The Mary Rose Museum. 

This experience is open to all sections within Girlguiding South West England.

Would you want to work on the Mary Rose? Mystery object artefact handling to discover jobs on board

Are we fitter and healthier than our Tudor ancestors? Tudor food and exercise activities using evidence from the Mary Rose (including artefacts and photos of skeletons)  

Tudor Gun Drill – a chance to work in teams to load and fire our full-size replica cannon

Museum taster – see the ship and some of her artefacts 

This Experience is open to all sections.

Please note

• Only bookings with no more than 30 young members will be permitted due to the capacity at the Museum.
• The museum is big, there will not be time to see/do everything but you are welcome to stay on after the main part of the day has ended.
• All members will receive the event badge.

The cost of this experience is £3 per young member. This fee is non-refundable. We encourage you to only book the number of places you require. Booking more places than you can fill, means that other young members will miss out on this opportunity.
