Snooze at the Zoo for adult volunteers

We have teamed up with Dartmoor Zoological Society to bring you an exciting adult only opportunity to camp at Dartmoor Zoo. 

Open to adult volunteers within Girlguiding South West England. 

Open to adult volunteers only. 

Deposit £25, balance due 30 July 2026.

Price includes

Day one - Your first day will consist of a variety of activities, workshops and animal encounters provided by the zoo's staff. Once the Zoo has closed at 4pm, you can set up camp and take part in some after dark activities. You will receive an evening meal but will be required to bring a packed lunch for day one.

Day two - Will start at 8am with breakfast followed by striking your camp. You are then free to explore Dartmoor Zoo in your own time. There may also be the option to take part in some practical activities before departure. A packed lunch will be provided for day two.

Each person will also receive an event badge.

Accommodation - You will be required to bring your own tent and all camping equipment. You could team up with other local volunteers and attend the event together. If you want to attend but are unable to camp outside, limited space is available for sleeping inside, but you will still need to provide your own bed and bedding. 

Advance notice - there is a steep hill from the Zoo entrance to the centre.
